Design methods for safely regaining control of the wind turbine, should the generator speed control suddenly become non-operative during high wind conditions
Typical control measures
Forecasting of wind speed and wind power; prevent the blades ability to achieve increased power production under condition of rapidly accelerating blade rotational speed, or prevent rotational speed on an unacceptably dangerous level.
Prevent working in bad weather conditions; provide adequate shelter and PPE
