Description

Introduction

This programme is designed to help wind farm development, construction and O&M professionals apply Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (“CDM”) to onshore and offshore wind farm projects. It challenges much of the custom and practice around CDM and helps delegates align their internal stage gate models with the principles of CDM to drive project and safety performance across the asset lifecycle. This programme helps professionals understand the benefits of integrating CDM principles into the project design from the outset, clarifying duty holder roles and responsibilities, thereby achieving compliance whilst delivering projects on time and on budget.

The programme is designed specifically for the wind energy sector and incorporates examples of commercial and contract strategies prevalent across the industry.

Programme objectives

The objectives of the programme is to provide delegates with full appreciation of their CDM 2015 roles and responsibilities across various stages of the wind farm construction project, including:

  • Work scope and specification
  • Tender preparation
  • Commercial strategy
  • Project management and planning
  • Project initiation
  • Bid evaluation and selection
  • Project execution
